If you forgot to log out of a public or shared computer, you can even use the Facebook security settings to log out remotely; you'll just need your account information. Scroll down and tap Log out. This is the grey button at the very bottom of the page.
- You may be asked to save your login information. Tap Not now or Save.

Tap Log out to confirm. This will log you out of the Facebook app and return you to the app's login screen.
- This is different from deactivating your account, which hides your profile and limits your activity.
- If you're having trouble logging out, restart your device and try again.

Go to https://www.facebook.com/ in a web browser. You'll see your feed on the home page when you're logged into an account.

Click your profile picture. You can find this in the top-right corner of the screen, next to the notifications (bell) icon.

Click Log Out. This will log you out of Facebook and return you to the login screen.

Close the app and try again. If that doesn't work, try restarting your device. If you really need to log out, delete Facebook and re-download it. This should be used as a last resort.

Is there a way to log out of Facebook without scrolling all the way up to the top of the page to the drop down menu?

Closing it, then reopening is a quick and easy way to reach the top again, removing the need to scroll back up. Pressing the "Home" button will also cause your browser to scroll all the way up to the top.
